Israel Warns It Will Target New Leader

Earlier this week, Donald Trump said the United States would intensify attacks on Iranian targets and dismissed threats coming from Iranian officials.

Trump also publicly opposed the idea of Mojtaba Khamenei becoming the next Supreme Leader.

The conflict is not limited to Iran. Several countries around the Persian Gulf reported missile and drone attacks over the weekend.

In Kuwait, authorities said drones targeted fuel facilities near the international airport. A government building was also hit, though no major civilian injuries were reported.

In Bahrain, three people were injured after a desalination plant was struck during aerial attacks.

Officials across the Gulf region say their air defense systems intercepted many of the incoming drones and missiles.
